ABOUT THE HOOK PROPS COLLECTION

Hook Props began as the private collection of Set and Production Designer, Mary Howard.

Acclaimed set designer Mary Howard has worked in the fashion photography industry for over thirty years with the world’s most celebrated photographers, including Richard Avedon, Steven Meisel, Annie Leibovitz Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Klein, Mario Testino, Bruce Weber and Craig McDean. Her expansive client list includes Vogue, Vanity Fair, Versace, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Loewe, Valentino, Moschino, Dolce and Gabbana, Fendi, Dior and Zara. After sourcing props for iconic shoots, Mary curated a vast collection of choice furniture, objects, textiles, rugs and painted backdrops.

Now, this exclusive collection is available for rent. Hook Props is sourced worldwide including the Paris Flea Market and Brimfield Flea Market, antique and vintage stores, and other unique vendors. Mary has been collecting these objects with a sophisticated eye towards a beautiful patina, form, color, tonality, graphic quality - all the things that lend to the making of a resolved and refined set design and how it translates to the camera.
